Tammy
Marie Stewart graduated with honors from Southern
University in New Orleans, where she received a Bachelor of
Arts Degree in Political Science. Ms. Stewart earned her Juris
Doctorate Degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
While in law school, Ms. Stewart was a member of the Phi Alpha
Delta Legal Fraternity, Environmental Law Association and
Board of Directors of the Public Interest Law Foundation. Ms.
Stewart was also honored as the Best Oralist in the Appellate
Advocacy Competition. During her senior year of law school,
Ms. Stewart served as a mediator for the City Attorney’s
Office in Columbus, Ohio.
Ms. Stewart
formerly served as an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans
Parish. She is a native of New Orleans and her legal
affiliations include: American Bar Association; National Bar
Association; Louisiana State Bar Association; and Defense
Research Institute. Ms. Stewart has also been recognized as an
Honored Professional in the Nationwide Registry of Who’s Who
in Executive and Businesses. She also serves as an Adjunct
Professor of Criminal Justice at Southern University (New
Orleans). Ms. Stewart’s civic activities include the JUMP
Mentoring Program and Beacon Light Missionary Baptist Church,
where she serves on the Announcer’s Guild.
Ms.
Stewart specializes in Insurance Defense, Toxic Tort and Civil
Litigation.
